PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct curl based on detection of a curl amount and curl direction by a curl detection means. SOLUTION: The curl correction device has the curl detection part having a plurality of curl detection means for detecting a curl amount and a curl direction of curl occurred near a rear end of paper; a conveying roller arranged on a downstream side in a paper conveying direction of the curl detection part, grasping the paper and conveying it up and down in a vertical direction; a partition rod abutted on a rear end of the descending paper and partitioning the paper according to the size of curl; and a plurality of curl correction means for curving/deforming the curled paper in a direction opposite to a curl occurrence direction and correcting the curl. The curl amount and the curl direction of the rear end of the descending paper are detected by the curl detection means, it is partitioned by the partition rod according to the size of the curl amount. The curl correction means for reducing the curl out of the plurality of curl correction means is selected based on the curl amount and the curl direction near the rear end of the paper detected by the curl detection means to correct the curl of the paper.
