PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support with a high strength which can prevent a deformation of a chevron-shaped lug forming a supporting part and maintain a supporting state certainly even if the weight of a pillar article is comparatively big. SOLUTION: In the support, the first supporting plate 5 provided continuously to the first bottom plate 2 is erected up and the second supporting plate 6 provided continuously to the first supporting plate 5 is bent inwardly and diagonally downward and the second bottom plate 7 provided continuously to the second supporting plate 6 is bent horizontally as being wound under the second supporting plate 6 to be piled on the first bottom plate 2 so that two or more chevron-shaped lugs 3 are formed. When the lug 3 is formed, a supporting piece 8 of the second bottom plate 2 is erected up so that the upper edge of the supporting piece is in contact with the lower face of the second supporting plate 6. An engaging convex 9 of the supporting piece 8 is inserted into a securing hole 10 of the second supporting plate 6 to be secured.
