PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an elevator capable of reducing the possibility of confinement in a car caused by breakage of elevator equipment. SOLUTION: When a control board 4 determines that a low level secondary wave sensing part 7a is not operated by an earthquake and a primary wave sensor 15 is operated, it stops a car 10 at the nearest floor, and when determining that the low level secondary wave sensing part 7a is operated, it reduces the speed of the car 10 from the point of time and stops. The control board 4, after the stop of the car 10, checks for the possibility of running of the car 10, and when determining that the running of the car 10 is possible, stops the car 10 at the nearest floor.
