<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which toner storage efficiency in a waste toner recovery container 27 is high. <P>SOLUTION: An accumulation of toner is leveled by a vibrating operation. In addition, a reciprocating operation for the vibration applied at this time is changed into a rotating operation in one direction. A toner conveyance member 31, such as a conveyance screw, installed in the container is rotated. Thus, the accumulation of toner remaining without having been leveled completely by the vibration operation is leveled and conveyed.
