<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a hat image (abnormal image) in a non-image area adjacent to an image area on the tip end or back end of a moving direction of a photoreceptor surface. <P>SOLUTION: In a copying machine, the ratio of the absolute value V2 [V] of voltage difference between a non-image area on a photoreceptor surface and a development sleeve surface to the absolute value V1 [V] of voltage difference between an image area on the photoreceptor surface and the development sleeve surface satisfies the relational expression 1, wherein Vr [m/sec] is the linear velocity of the development sleeve; Vpc [m/sec] is the linear velocity of the photoreceptor;ε[F/m] is the dielectric constant of a magnetic carrier;ρ[Ωm] is the volume resistivity of the magnetic carrier; T [sec] is value (Nip/Vr) given by diving the width of a development nip Nip [m] by the linear velocity of the development sleeve; andΔVr [m/sec] is the relative velocity difference (Vr-Vpc) between the linear velocity of the photoreceptor and the linear velocity of the development sleeve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
