An organic EL device is provided to suppress an optical leakage current by preventing an external ray from entering the organic EL(Electro-Luminescent) device by using a light shielding layer connected to a source line. A first light shielding pattern(105) is formed to correspond to a device region on a substrate having a pixel region and the device region. A buffer layer(108) is formed on the light shielding pattern. A driving TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(DTr) includes a semiconductor layer, a gate insulation film, a gate electrode, and source and drain electrodes. The semiconductor layer includes an active layer to correspond to the first light shielding pattern and ohmic contact layers formed at both sides of the active layer. The source and drain electrodes are formed to contact with the ohmic contact layers. A first electrode(155) is formed to contact with the drain electrode of the driving TFT. An organic light emitting layer(165) is formed on the first electrode. A second electrode(170) is formed on the organic light emitting layer. The first light shielding pattern is formed to be partially overlapped with the active layer.
