The corner joint arrangement, for use between first 47 and second 55 insulated timber framed building panels which each have a first facing surface and a first edge surface, comprises a projection 54 which projects outwardly from the a first facing surface 56 of the second panel and which is received in a channel 53 that extends along the first edge surface 52 of the first panel. At least one of the panels comprises first 48,56 and second 49,57 sheathing boards between which heat insulating material is interposed, the sheathing boards in the first panel extending past the insulating material to form the channel. The projection is preferably provided near the edge surface of the second panel with insulation material being provided on the edge surface of the second panel. Also claimed is a method for constructing a corner joint, an insulated timber framed building structure and a method of construction thereof. |
