BASE STATION, VIDEO DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND DISTRIBUTION CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly perform video distribution by preventing a trouble such as quality deterioration in a video distribution service over a mobile communication network.

SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes steps of: determining a distribution possibility based on a radio transmission capacity required for the requested distribution of video data and a radio transmission capacity available at a relevant time point when a base station receives a video data distribution request from a mobile station (B3, B5); notifying the mobile station about a result of the distribution possibility determination from the base station (B4, B6 and B8); inquiring a base station capable of distribution to a transmission data capacity management device if it is determined that the base station is incapable of distribution (B10); selecting and answering the base station capable of distribution from the transmission data capacity management device based on the radio transmission capacity required for the distribution of the video data and the radio transmission capacity in utilization for distribution at a plurality of base stations (E1, E2); and notifying the mobile station about the base station capable of distribution from the base station (B11).
