<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel capable of improving bearing service life by preventing increase of surface pressure near a base of an inner ring large flange, and reduction of a contact area of a roller and a raceway surface. <P>SOLUTION: This double row conical roller bearing type bearing device for the wheel has conical rollers 3 disposed between raceway surfaces 5, 6 of an inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2, the outer ring 2 does not have a flange, and the inner ring 1 has the large flange 7.
