<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry cleaning method for performing cleaning efficiently in a short time without damaging and breaking an object to be cleaned, in an apparatus which removes dust and powder sticking to the object to be cleaned with solid cleaning media but without water and a solvent, especially in a dry cleaning apparatus for devices and parts having a relatively complex shape, such as an electronic substrate and a powder process unit, to which toners used in an electrophotographic device (a copier, a laser printer, etc.) have adhered, and a dry cleaning apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the dry cleaning apparatus, solid cleaning media, especially a flaky cleaning media, are used, and a number of nozzles 2 as a cleaning media-floating and diffusing means for floating and diffusing the cleaning media M in a cleaning tank, and a number of nozzles 6 as a cleaning media-accelerating means for accelerating the floated and diffused cleaning media M toward the object W to be cleaned by using air flow are disposed.
