PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce slippage between a rotary roller and a cylinder rod and maintain the stroke measuring accuracy of the cylinder rod at high accuracy while the rotation radius of the rotary roller is maintained fixed, regardless of the temperature changes and changes due to aging, and regardless of the contact position between the rotary roller and the rod, when measuring the stroke position of a cylinder by detecting the amount of rotation of the rotary roller by a rotation sensor. SOLUTION: The rotary roller 110 is provided which is in contact with the surface of the rod 202 of the cylinder 200 and rotates, according to the displacement of the cylinder rod 202. The rotary roller 110 is pressed against the surface of the cylinder rod 202 by a pressing member 130 with a pressing force that reduces slippage.
