ACTUATOR FOR VACUUM CIRCUIT BREAKER

A vacuum circuit breaker and an actuator for the vacuum circuit breaker are provided to increase a driving energy by generating an additional electromagnetic force according to a movement of the mover, around which a coil is wound. A vacuum circuit breaker includes a driving unit(10), a connecting unit(20), and a switching unit(30). The driving unit includes a permanent magnet, a mover, and a guide. The mover moves in a straight line between the permanent magnets, when a current is applied on a coil. The guide delivers a driving force due to the straight movement to the connecting unit. The connecting unit includes a first rotary lever and a compressing spring. The first rotary lever is connected to the guide to receive the driving force. The compression spring maintains a compression force between electrodes. The switching unit is connected to the connecting unit and turned on/off according to a direction of the movement of the mover.
