A spindle motor is provided to decrease the number of coupling components for an encoder by soldering the encoder on an FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board) which is fixed on a bending portion having a predetermined height. A board(110) includes first and second bending portions. A main PCB(120) is arranged on the board. A bearing housing(130) is implemented on the board. A bearing is embedded in the bearing housing. A rotation shaft(140) is rotatably supported by the bearing. A turn-table(170) is fixed on the rotation shaft. A disk is mounted and supported on the turn-table. A stator(150) is fixed on an outer surface of the bearing housing. A rotor is fixed on the turn-table and rotated by an interaction between the rotor and the stator. One side of an FPCB(125) is fixed on the second bending portion and the other side thereof is connected to the main PCB. An encoder(210) is implemented on the FPCB and recognizes a recognition mark on the disk to detect a rotation speed of the disk. The second bending portion corresponds to the recognition mark.
