摘要

Novel microalgae for producing hydrocarbons usable as a substitute for diesel fuel (light oil). There is provided a process for producing hydrocarbons, characterized in that novel microalga Pseudochoricystisellipsoidea capable of hydrocarbon production and microalga capable of hydrocarbon production belonging to the genus Pseudochoricystis or the genus Choricystis are cultured and hydrocarbons are collected from the culture.
