885,172. Mixing fluids in flow. DE WALT Inc. June 11, 1959 [Aug. 13, 1958], No. 20104/59. Class 86. [Also in Groups XXIII and XXVI] In a device for supplying a mixture in constant proportions of air and a liquid coolant or lubricant to a saw 34 through a mixing nozzle 52, the liquid in the reservoir 122 is subjected to the pressure of the air, so that both air and liquid are at the same pressure. The saw is reciprocated by compressed air (see Group XXIII) and actuates a trip mechanism so that air is supplied to open the liquid control valve 112 during the working stroke only. The proportions of air and liquid may be adjusted by means of needle valves 106, 126 respectively.
|
