A method of producing castings by filling with molten metal of casting mold, supply in it of compressed gas and endurance under pressure to the complete hardening of casting. On the surface of liquid metal in the casting mold a plate is put, which is dipped into the melt. The process is conducted at atmospheric pressure, and compressed gas is supplied into the casting mold after hermetic sealing of the surface of casting on the axial gas-supplying branch pipe through the gas-permeable plug.
