An AD method using character recognition is provided to maximize an AD effect by recognizing sentences used in chatting, an email, or a message of a user based on the character recognition, and providing the user AD contents corresponding to a recognition result. An AD server receives chatting data from a chatting program installed in a user terminal, and checks whether predetermined words or sentences are included by scanning the chatting data. The AD server reads the AD contents corresponding to the predetermined words or sentences from an AD content database, and provides/displays the read AD contents to the user terminal. The AD contents includes flash, a banner, a skin added to wallpaper, or a voice message. |
