A sheet supply device of a main compressing apparatus is provided to facilitate sheet supply of a desired amount by using an encoder for sensing the unwinding amount of sheet and a recovery sensor for sensing the recovering amount of sheet, and prevent the sheet from being damaged by minimizing the tension applied to the sheet. A sheet supplying unit(120) is installed at a first side of a frame, and a sheet recovering unit(130) is installed at a second side of the frame. A plurality of guide poles(138) is installed between the sheet supplying unit and the sheet recovering unit at an interval. An encoder is installed at the first side of the frame adjacently to the sheet supplying unit. The encoder senses the unwinding amount of sheet to control the operation of the sheet supplying unit. A recovery sensor(135) is installed at the second side of the sheet supplying unit. The recovery sensor senses the recovering amount of sheet to the operation of the sheet recovering unit. A tension controller is hinge-joined to the frame adjacently to the sheet covering unit. The tension controller strains or slackens the sheet hung between the sheet supplying unit and the sheet recovering unit.
