CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF STERN TUBE BUSH UNIT

A method for installing a stern tube bush unit is provided to easily install the stern tube bush unit by eliminating a boring process required for installing a stern tube. A method for installing a stern tube bush unit includes the steps of: cleaning the interior of a stern tube and checking a defect of the material of the stern tube(S10); inserting a bush unit into the stern tube(S11); assembling a connecting ring(S12); matching the center of a main engine with that of the bush unit(S13); installing closing units at both ends of a gap between the hull of a ship and a bush housing(S14); filling a two liquid resin in the gap between the hull and the bush housing(S15); and installing a forward seal flange at the tip end of the hull on the main engine side(S16).
