Provided is a cooling system, in which an interior inhalation mode and an A/C inhalation mode are switched by a damper. In the interior inhalation mode, the air in a passenger's cabin is inhaled and fed to a battery by the drive of a blower fan for the battery. In the A/C inhalation mode, the air cooled by an air conditioner (or an evaporator) is inhaled and fed to the battery by the drive of the battery blower fan. At this switching time, the damper is promptly switched (at S240 to S260), when a vehicle speed (V) is at or higher than a predetermined value (Vref), but the damper is not switched (at S220 to S260) before the drive of the battery blower fan is restricted to a predetermined value (Qlim), when the vehicle speed (V) is lower than the predetermined value (Vref). Thus, a whispering noise, which might otherwise accompany the switching of the damper, can be suppressed to relieve the vehicle driver and the passenger from an uncomfortable feeling.
