A mind map system using a mobile communication terminal and a service method therefor are provided to conveniently store information which constitutes a mind map in a web server regardless of time and place by using the terminal, so that a user can receive the mind map by accessing the web server with a user terminal. A mobile communication terminal(100) transmits mind map information inputted according to a user's operation to an MO(Message Oriented) server(120). The MO server(120) receives the mind map information to transmit the received information to a web server(140). The web server(140) receives the mind map information to convert into mind map configuration information as storing the converted information, and extracts the mind map configuration information according to a downloading request for the configuration information sent from a user terminal(150), then sends the extracted information to the user terminal(150). The user terminal(150) receives the configuration information by requesting downloading of the configuration information, and configures/displays a mind map by using the received configuration information. The mind map information consists of one character message, and the character message includes at least one identification code, which designates at least one mind map data and a position where each kind of mind map data is indicated on the mind map.
