The sensor (10) has a pressure-receiving portion (31) receiving a combustion pressure to allow the pressure to transfer from a combustion chamber (12) to a pressure sensor (6). The pressure sensor detects a load resulting from the pressure received with a hollow transfer member (3). A seal (8) blocks the pressure prevailing in the chamber from intruding into an inside of housing (2). The seal includes a flexible portion (81a) to absorb a fluctuation in load actuating on the pressure sensor due to a relative movement of the transfer member caused by a compressive contraction of the housing.
