Centrifuge, in particular separator, (1), which possesses the following: a rotatable spinning drum (2) having a vertical axis of rotation (D), a rotatable drive spindle (5) for the spinning drum (2), at least one feed line (14) for a control fluid into a hydraulic system in the interior of the spinning drum, wherein the feed line (14) for the control fluid opens out radially before the drive spindle (5) in an outlet region (6) which is directed and arranged in such a manner that the exiting control fluid can be sprayed directly against the drive spindle (5) in such a manner that a part of the control fluid enters into the hydraulic system (9) in the interior of the drum through a gap (7) between the drive spindle (5) and the spinning drum (2) or a part (8) connected in a torque-proof manner to the spinning drum (2).
