<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer capable of shortening the optometry time. <P>SOLUTION: This optometer is provided with: an indicator projecting optical system projecting an indicator on a subject's eye; a cross cylinder lens forming a pair of projection images of the indicator by changing the astigmatic axial angle under a condition of generating a prescribed astigmatic degree; an operation means for inputting a comparison result of viewing condition of the projection images; a measurement means measuring the astigmatic axial angle of the subject's eye based on the astigmatic axial angle; a setting means setting a displacement from an objective value of the astigmatic axial angle; and a control means, when a predetermined direction is input, changing the absolute value of the displacement to a present value or less, reversing the positive/negative of the displacement, adding the displacement after the change to the objective value of the astigmatic axial angle, and changing the astigmatic axial angle of the cross cylinder lens to the added value. The measurement means measures the astigmatic axial angle when the acuity of the pair of projection images become substantially equal to each other via the change of the astigmatic axial angle by the control means, as the astigmatic axial angle of the subject's eye. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
