<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric composite connector that can be mounted on a substrate at low height. <P>SOLUTION: The substrate mounting photoelectric composite connector comprises a plug-side connector and a receptacle-side connector. The plug-side connector comprises a plug-side housing for supporting an optical fiber, a plug-side shell for covering the outside of the plug-side housing, and an optical module connected to the optical fiber. The receptacle-side connector comprises a receptacle-side housing mounted on a first substrate, a receptacle-side shell for covering the outside of the receptacle-side housing, and a receptacle-side terminal arranged in the receptacle-side housing. The optical module has a second substrate, an emitting and receiving element mounted on one face of the second substrate and the plug-side terminal or a land for performing signal transmission between it and the receptacle-side terminal by being mounted on one face of the second substrate. A ground face is formed on the other face of the reverse side of one face of the second substrate and electrically brought into contact with the inner wall of the plug-side shell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
