<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of improving its cooling efficiency as well as reducing its total volume. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell comprises a stack 100 which performs a chemical reaction for converting chemical energy of fuel into electrical energy, and a heat exchanger 200 which removes heat generated in the stack during the energy conversion process. The heat exchanger of the fuel cell is built in at least any one plate 110 in the stack. When this structure is used, the fuel cell can more reduce its total volume than that of a fuel cell having a separate heat exchanger, and furthermore, can improve its cooling efficiency because the circulation path of cooling water is reduced between a fuel cell main body and a heat exchanger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
