PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color reproduction model creating method capable of creating a color chart with simple color patches adaptable to an image quality principle and creating a color reproduction model adaptable to the image quality principle without making control complicated, and to provide a storage medium and an image forming apparatus mounted with the storage medium. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus creates a color chart adaptable to the designated image quality principle, and a colorimeter applies colorimetric processing to the color patches configuring the color chart to extract the color patches adaptable to the image quality principle on the basis of an extraction criterion based on the image quality principle. A color reproduction model adaptable to the image quality principle is created on the basis of a colorimetric value of the extracted color patches. A color conversion profile created on the basis of the color reproduction model is stored on an HDD which the image forming apparatus mounts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
