PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, an image processing method, a program, and a recording medium for accurately obtaining the intersections of segments even when segments with different density coexist, and for highly accurately obtaining the intersections of line images whose resolution is low. SOLUTION: Density distribution in the scanning direction of an image is approximated by a Gaussian curve, and a coordinate group constituted of the coordinates of the peak value of the Gaussian curve is obtained, and each of the line images is obtained by using a least-square method from the coordinate group, and the coordinates of the intersections of the obtained plurality of segments are obtained, so that it is possible to find feature quantities showing the crossing sections of linear sections included in the image. Even when the linear sections with different density coexist, it is possible to extract the feature quantities. The segments to be obtained from the above coordinate group do not depend on the resolution of the image, so that it is possible to highly accurately find the positions of the intersections even from the image whose resolution is low.
