PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light emitting device having improved effective property and prolonged life property, by making electron hole pouring easy and optimizing its electric charge balance. SOLUTION: The organic light emitting device is provided with a hole injection layer 11 which intervenes one by one between a primary electrode 10, a 2nd electrode 14, a primary electrode 10, and a 2nd electrode 14; a hole transporting layer 16; and a light emitting layer 12. The hole injection layer 11 is manufactured in a solution process. A work function of the hole injection layer 11, an ionization potential, or an absolute value of HOMO is the same as or more than the absolute value of HOMO of the hole transporting layer 16.
