PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment system that is advantageous for conducting communication between electronic equipment and external equipment via a cradle in a simple manner, while reducing the size and the cost. SOLUTION: When an imaging device 10 is placed on the cradle 200 and multiconnectors 42, and 202 are connected, data communication terminals are connected with each other, A/V signal terminals are connected with each other, power-supply terminals are connected with each other, and a signal input terminal 4202 and a signal output terminal 242 are connected with each other. When an operation switch 220 is operated and turned on, the signal input terminal 4202, connected to a control unit 1026 of the imaging device 10, undergoes transition from "H" to "L". As a result, the control unit 1026 controls a USB interface part 47 so as to make prescribed data communication executed by a USB, between the imaging device 10 and a personal computer 4 via the USB interface 47.
