PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining dissimilar metals capable of removing an oxide film on a bonding interface while suppressing generation of intermetallic compounds in a bonding process when bonding dissimilar metals by the resistance spot welding, and realizing the firm bonding of newly formed faces to each other, and to provide a firm structure for bonding dissimilar metals by the resistance spot welding. SOLUTION: When performing the resistance spot welding, for example, by overlapping a galvanized steel 1 and an aluminum alloy 2 each other, and eutectic melt between zinc and aluminum in a plated layer 1p of the galvanized steel 1 is formed, an electrode E1 having a curved surface on its fore end is used for at least one electrode for spot welding.
