PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run flat tire capable of improving riding comfort as well as and run flat performance. SOLUTION: A run flat tire comprises a sidewall reinforcement layer in which a rubber composition including 5-120 weight parts of nonmetallic short fibers having an average fiber diameter of 1-100μm and an average fiber length of 0.1-20 mm with respect to 100 weight parts of a diene rubber is used, and the nonmetallic short fibers are oriented in a tire-periphery direction.
