PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plurality of and a number of valuables storage boxes which are safely controlled at a low facility cost without using a key or a code number or without requiring a card etc. for identifying an individual. SOLUTION: The safety box with an electronic key has a biological feature reading scanner and a card reader integrally incorporated therein. The card reader has detachably installed therein a storage medium in which biological features are stored beforehand. Then the valuables storage box is mounted on a bed, in a storage appended to the bed, etc. by welding or by means of backward rotation preventive screws. Thus biological feature data of the user read by the scanner and the data in the storage medium are transmitted to a personal computer in a supervising station by radio to be collated with each other. If authentication is satisfied, an unlocking signal is returned to the storage box, and unlocking of the same is allowed. After completion of use of the storage box etc., by removing the storage medium from the safety box in an unlocking state, the user can confirm that personal information of the user is not left in the box. Therefore a resistance of the user to input the biological features is wiped away, and he or she can safely store property-related ledger sheets and money by his or her side.
