PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine mounted with an electronic money terminal having a function of preventing unauthorized use, and a method of preventing unauthorized use. SOLUTION: The vending machine calculates a current position using information received from a satellite, and compares the current position with a previously registered position. When the registered position does not match with the calculated current position, an electronic money controller stops a charge function of a reading/writing means. After stopping the charge function of the reading/writing means, the electronic money controller recovers the charge function of the reading/writing means in response to an operation of an operator authenticated by the vending machine.
