PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup holder whose supporting member is not broken by an external force without spoiling its user-friendliness. SOLUTION: In the cup holder, a supporting arm 24, which grips a cup from both sides in association with a supporting member 31 formed on a cup-receiving part 13, is pivotally supported around a shaft member 23 extending above the cup-receiving part 13 and is movably supported along the axial direction of the shaft member 23. A compression coil spring is utilized in a coil section 39 of a torsion spring 38 for imparting turning force to the supporting arm 24 so as to grip the cup in association with the supporting member 31. Further, a coil section 29 imparts a bias force to the supporting arm 24 so as to hold the supporting arm 24 at a predetermined distance above the cup-receiving part 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
