<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compressing apparatus which keeps the time required until outputting coded data and can provide an excellent image with a less sense of incompatibility even when images having severe change between images are continuously imaged. <P>SOLUTION: A capsule endoscope system is provided with a first image compressing section 13 for performing compression coding of present image data and a second image compressing section 15 for performing compression coding of image data of a frame preceding to the present image data based on second compression conditions. The compression conditions of the second image compressing section are obtained from the amount of the coded data from the first image compressing section, so that the amount of data of the second image compressing section becomes approximately equal with the target amount of the coded data. When the amount of the coded data output from the first image compressing section 13 exceeds the target amount of the coded data, coded data from the second image compressing section are selectively output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
