PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire with a rolling resistance performance WET performance improved while maintaining a road noise reducing effect. SOLUTION: A belt cover layer 6 is composed of a highly elastic organic fiber cord with an elongation of 3.5% or lower on a loading of 2.0 cN/dtex, and a rubber composition with silica of 10-150 pts.wt. blended in relation to rubber component 100 pts.wt. is used for a tread rubber.
