PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer body capable of securing buffer performance without using a bottom pad and stabilizing its shape. SOLUTION: A series of side plates 2, 3, 4, and 5 respectively connected with side edges of both sides of a bottom plate 1 are cylindrically folded down along a fold line 6 formed between the bottom plate 1 and side plate 2 and fold lines 7, 8, and 9 formed between respective side plates. Thus, the side plate 5 is overlapped on the inside of the bottom plate 1, a cylindrical body 12 is formed by inserting an inserting piece 10 extended from the side plate 5 into a locking hole 11 formed by folding and raising an overlapped piece 13 extended from the bottom plate 1 from the side plate 2, an opening 14 for storing a buffered object is formed on the cylindrical body 12, and the inserting piece 10 inserted into the locking hole 11 is overlapped with the overlapped piece 13 in order to form the buffer body.
