PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible for a user to enjoy a content easily by unitarily managing a huge amount of content of various kinds and formats stored in a plurality of AV apparatus while being distributed, and creating a play list easily from these contents depending on the user's preference, thereby reducing labor of the user for managing/utilizing the content. SOLUTION: Using a personal computer 1 connected with an LAN 10 in a building, information of contents is acquired as stored in the HDDs 21, 31 and 41 of all recording/reproducing apparatus such as a video apparatus 2, an audio apparatus 3, and a portable AV apparatus 4 connected with the LAN 10; a list 6 of all contents is made; and contents satisfying the conditions specified by a user are extracted from the content list 6, thus making a play list 7.
