A method for controlling a broadcasting program is provided to record a re-broadcasted program automatically if recording failure occurs in the process of recording a broadcasting program in various digital recorders such as a DVD- recorder. If recording is failed in the process of recording a broadcasting program, identification information of the broadcasting program and information about time, in which the recording is failed, are determined(S11,S12). Information about re-broadcasting reservation recording is set based on the identification information and the time information(S13). Re-broadcasted programs are continuously recorded corresponding to the re-broadcasting reservation recording information.
