An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a fabrication method thereof are provided to form a black matrix and a spacer in a process by using a combined black matrix and old black spacer in a COT(Color Filter On Transistor) structure, thereby simplifying the process, reducing the necessary time, and improving yield. An LCD includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and an old black spacer(212). The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. The old black spacer includes a black matrix formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The old black spacer is formed in an inkjet type. A jet solution is black ink composed of a solvent and the old black spacer. The solvent of the black ink is a volatile substance. |
