A broadcasting receiver and a reception method are provided to receive a scrambled DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) service through a DMB network, and to transmit/receive information related to the DMB service between a DMB terminal and a broadcasting station through a wireless data network, thus the DMB terminal which does not have an interactive communication function can perform interactive communication. A broadcasting terminal receives scrambled mobile broadcasting, and outputs or inputs data necessary for authentication and descrambling. Communication modules(12,20) convert the outputted data into a transmission format to output the converted data. A wireless data network unit(30) transmits the converted data to a broadcasting station of a remote place after packetizing the data based on a wireless network protocol, or transmits data sent from the broadcasting station to the communication modules(12,20).
