The package consists of a thermoformed base (2) with an optional inner liner (4), and a separate sub-assembly made from a supporting frame (5) and layer of stretch film (6) for suspending products (1). The sub-assembly is closed by a lid (3) with an inner pad (3b) held against the packaged product without damaging it. Once the subassembly has been fitted to the base it is covered by a film seal (10, 11). An Independent claim is also included for packaging for products suspended in the stretch film.
