摘要 An oil circuit for a continuously variable valve timing system of an engine is provided to reduce a change of a cylinder head layout and to increase design freedom of a cylinder head by installing oil control valves each at a cam carrier and in the cylinder head, and an advance and a retard oil circuits in a cam carrier. An oil circuit for a continuously variable valve timing system of an engine is applicable to the engine which has a cam carrier(23) installed on an upper surface of a cylinder head(21), to support a camshaft. An oil control valve(OCV1) for an intake part of a continuously variable valve timing unit(31) is installed at a side of a center of the cam carrier. An oil control valve(OCV2) for an exhaust part of a continuously variable valve timing unit(33) is installed at a side of an inside of the cylinder head. Operating oil is supplied to the control valves via a main oil hole(25) in the cylinder head and an oil supplying circuit. An advance and a retard oil circuits(OL1-OL4) for the intake part and the exhaust part are formed in the cam carrier, to supply advance and retard oil to the oil control valves at the intake part and the exhaust part respectively, and to the each continuously variable valve timing unit.
