Total knee prosthesis for e.g. left knee of patient, has articulation stud decentred from inner side of tibial plate for taking into account movement of rotation and displacement of tibia during flexion to respect anatomy

The prosthesis has a femoral implant (3) with condylar pads (3a, 3b) cooperating with inner and outer compartments of a tibial plate (2) mounted on a tibial base (1). The plate has an articulation stud cooperating with fins (1b) of the base. The stud is decentred from an inner side (A) of the plate for taking into account movement of rotation and displacement of tibia during flexion to respect anatomy. The stud is shifted with respect to a center of the plate according a distance comprised between 5 and 10 millimeters. The fins are shifted with respect to a center of the base.
