An apparatus for inspecting a flat display panel is provided to reduce work and time for inspection, to improve accuracy of inspection and to secure high reliability of products. An apparatus for inspecting a flat display panel includes a flat display panel holder, a moving unit(20), a backlight unit, a top illuminator, a line illuminator unit(110), a reflection mirror(120), and a camera sensor unit(130). The flat display panel holder has a space in which the flat display panel is placed and fixed. The moving unit supports both sides of the flat display panel holder and moves in a plurality of axes for the flat display panel holder to have the degree of freedom of the whole directions in three-dimensional space. The moving unit is installed on the base. The backlight unit irradiates light from the rear of the flat display panel holder to the flat display panel for inspection above the flat display panel holder. The top illuminator is arranged above the flat display panel holder and illuminates light to the flat display panel for inspection above the flat display panel holder. The line illuminator unit is installed in a side of an analytical laboratory to illuminate light to the surface of the flat display panel. The reflection mirror reflects the light illuminated by the line illuminator unit. The camera sensor unit is installed in the other side of the analytical laboratory to detect light reflected by the reflection mirror and inspect defects of the flat display panel.
