PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor which can prevent the deformation of a stator core caused by the engagement of a stator core inside a housing. SOLUTION: A plurality of tenons 42 are provided apart in the circumferential direction of the stator core 29, at the peripheral face 29a of the stator core 29, and also a plurality of mortises 32 are provided apart, in the circumferential direction of the housing 16, at the internal perimetric face 16a of the housing 16. In the engagement state between the mortises 32 and the tenons 42, both flanks 422 of the tenons 42 facing in the circumferential direction of the stator core 29 are retained by the inner flanks 322 of the mortises 32. A gap K1 on projection side is made all over a head face 421, between the head face 421 of the tenon 42 and the internal perimetric face 321 of the mortise 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
