PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact fiber laser of double-clad structure using a small-diameter optical fiber by winding at a small curvature. SOLUTION: A core is doped with a laser medium, and a clad of which optical refractive index is lower than that of the core is formed to cover the outer circumference of the core at an area ratio of necessary multiple (≥1,≤10) to the cross section of the core. A first clad is provided on the outside of an optical fiber that is almost cylindrical and is wound one time, and a second clad is provided on the outer face of the first clad, thereby forming a double clad structure. In the first clad, a pumping light source is optically coupled with one end, and a pumping light guide wave means that has an inclined face with an acute incident angle to an optical fiber axial line, is optically coupled with the outer face of the firts clad at the other end.
