<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling clothes having duration of cooling effect, which is longer than that of existing clothes, and effectively cooling the body. <P>SOLUTION: The clothes have a collar part 14 covering the carotid part of a wearer, and a holding body attachable to and detachable from the skin of the wearer in the collar part 14. The collar part 14 is formed by holding a padding material made of water absorbing fiber between a water absorbing fabric near the skin of the wearer and a steam permeable fabric far from the skin of the wearer.
