SOLUTION: The control method is for the water heat source heat pump unit system 1 provided with a check valve CA and the heat source water pump 72 of a type capable of changing capacity with respect to each water heat source heat pump unit 3. A controller C2 is provided for receiving input of a detected value of a water temperature sensor 71 provided in a heat source water outlet, and a target heat source water outlet temperature To' is determined from an inlet water temperature Ti of heat source water supplied to a heat source water side heat exchanger 62 and a frequency Hz of a compressor 50.
